Graduate Careers Live! is a new twice-yearly 90-minute TV programme, introducing sixth form students, their parents, and schools’ careers & university admissions staff to the graduate job market.

Broadcasting from a studio in central London, the October programme was specifically aimed at Year 13 students & their parents and showcases many of the job opportunities, occupations and professions that sixth form students can aspire to in the future.

The broadcast provides inspiration, information and practical careers guidance on how university – or one of the growing number of degree apprenticeships – can lead to ambitious, rewarding careers in areas like engineering, technology, banking & finance, law, accountancy, the media and the public sector.

The programme features employers, recent graduates, degree apprentices, recruitment experts, the very latest research and insight on what it takes to be successful in the highly-competitive graduate job market.

The presenters of Graduate Careers Live! are Martin Birchall, Editor of The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers and Levi Jouavel, presenter of BBC Three's The Catch Up and a former BBC apprentice.

It is produced by High Fliers Research, in partnership with the Department for Education.

High Fliers Research has been researching the graduate job market since the mid-1990s. It conducts the UK's largest annual careers survey of final year students at the country’s leading universities, produces The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers guide, and the Department for Education's Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers.

Its research is used by many of the country’s best-known and most prestigious graduate employers, universities, the Government and the media.

Over the past decade, more than 600 schools & sixth form colleges have taken part in The National Graduate Careers Conference, the popular annual event hosted by High Fliers Research for schools’ Heads of Careers, Directors of University Admissions and Heads of Sixth Form.

During the pandemic, High Fliers Research launched Graduate Careers Live!, a major 90-minute TV broadcast for UK schools & sixth form colleges, presenting key information, case studies, guidance and research about the graduate job market and degree apprenticeships – directly to sixth form students, their parents and careers staff.
